employment.china@As the University Relations Recruiter, you will build and maintain relationships with key universities while strategically sourcing and screening candidates to ensure we are hiring the best talent. This is an opportunity to drive Baker Hughes competitive advantage by delivering university relations solutions.
Recruiting/Assessment
Proactively source leads and screens candidates to develop pools of talent for entry-level positions while driving the process from initiation through offer management and pre-start candidate engagement
Assess candidates through competency-based screening, ensuring only the most qualified candidates are referred
Create and post university sourcing requisitions and update as needed in our applicant tracking system, and route them for approval as per the Baker Hughes approval matrix
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with colleges and universities and alumni associations as assigned
Act as the interface between managers, human resources, university professors and students to ensure best in class graduates join Baker Hughes
Create a positive candidate experience through problem resolution, immediate response to candidate's needs, and delivery of exceptional service to the candidate
Persuasively sell organization, role, and culture to candidates
Maintain accurate contact records of university professors
Work closely and support the Baker Hughes Volunteers assigned to each university
Share the best practices with the different countries and ensure standardization of recruitment processes across the region
Project Management
Initiate, develop and execute comprehensive, compelling sourcing strategies that will attract top college talent with select recruitment partners for new college graduates and interns
Partner with Human Resources and hiring managers to develop internship programs
Provide monthly reports on activity levels, hire against target, competitor information and market information
Build university partnership strategies that can meet unique business needs
Implement the global university recruitment strategy to assess a pool of candidates by managing the on campus interviewing process
Increase knowledge and awareness of Baker Hughes technologies and employment brand through the implementation of a robust on campus marketing and recruitment plan. This may include organizing and delivering the following: corporate presentations, technology seminars, regular briefings for professors and students, involvement in student sponsored organizations such as SPE Chapters, interview days, and a variety of culturally appropriate social events.
Qualifications
5 years recruiting experience in a corporate environment and/or 3 years operations experience as a field engineer (University recruiting experience preferred)
Ability and willingness to travel for university recruiting events as well as able to work a flexible schedule
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environment and foster teamwork
High level of relationship-based selling and negotiation skills with candidates
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Experience with applicant tracking systems
Broad knowledge of sourcing strategy to produce a pipeline of outstanding talent and assessment/screening tools to identify potential candidates
Excellent planning and time-management skills necessary to achieve business goals and increase efficiencies
Able to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and cost effectively manner
Demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative on assigned projects
Broad knowledge of various recruiting techniques (Internet, networking, active web search etc.)
Knowledge of HR practices, respective local laws, regulations, compliance and customs
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or related area
