BOP Project Leader

Main Responsibilities

1.      Project Leader

•         Ensure planned project activities are executed timely and efficiently to meet the product launch.

•         Liase and plan with commercial and industry to meet current requirement in terms of timing and quantity.

•         Ensure compliance to product quality plan to fulfill customer’s expectation.

•         Lead train & motivate virtual project team members to enable them to achieve project objectives.

•         Ensure timely availability of project deliverables to support the market introduction process.

•         Identify and implement process improvements towards achieving NPI within BG CL.

•         Ensure proper execution of Project Activities according to established Product Creation Process.

 

2.      BU product marketing

•         Develop a BOP product strategy and product portfolio based on the input from home segment marketing team, which can cater for different business needs of different region and key customers, hence maximize the opportunities and profit for the BG.    

•         Understand, anticipates and translate changing needs and experiences of customers/markets, to determine our own product strategy and planning requirements.

•         Deliver brand promise, in terms of product portfolio, price position, product specifications, product design, user experience to provide a total package to end consumers.

•         Not only to generate sales growth and deliver profit from the declining mature consumer luminaires market but also to rejuvenate our business by exploring new product ideas and customer focus.  

•         Working together with GTD and BG design department to set trend and identity on our products, such as product design, graphics design, user interface, which can be easily to be experienced by end-consumer.

 

 

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Main Responsibilities

·        Particpate to risk-analysis in order to make right categorization in terms of difficulty for new projects.

·        After getting informed of selected new projects , set up the engineering planning containing transfermeeting, start of engineering, complexity, timing release for costprice, timeline for prototyping and feasibility study , and final release.

·        Discuss the dedicated projects with projectteam, in terms of planning and feasibility.

·        Set up – together with projectteam – sub projects with dedicated action plan and timing

·        After transfermeeting, set up the architecture of the project and techniques/technologies to be used and discuss with expat-engineer from HQ. If applicable, organize brainstorming with necessary people, wen applicable, people from other departments and/ or the factories/suppliers.

·        Work out the project until smallest details by means of drawings, used technologies and related design rules. From each part – beside a 3D – a drawing must be made including important and functional dimensions, material and technology related remarks. On article level, an exploded view is made.

·        Organize a review of the project with expat-engineer, QA engineer and projectleader.

·        Arrange release for cost to the factory on time taking into account the workload for the BOI team.

·        Arrange for feasibility study with the factory or internally

·        Perform necessary research and organize testing to make sure risks and feasibility are known/risks minimized and feasibility optimized.

 

 

Quality Engineer

Main Responsibilities

·        Will be responsible for testing lighting products according the IEC60598 and other international standards in fully equipped laboratory

·        Technical evaluation of new mechanical parts, glass and electrical components

·        Evaluate and develop sources to the technical level required by Philips

·        Supplier’s technical solution review on lighting product level

·        Supplier’s technical file & testing report review and management

·        Assessment of supplier’s production and potential

·        Discuss, improve and follow-up productions with suppliers

·        Assist in the lab to enhance the testing capability and knowledge

 

Job Requiretments

1. Technical bachelor degree or higher in electronics or electricity.
2. Knowledge of quality standards like IEC60598/GB7000 are an advantage
3. Sound technical knowledge of commodities like metal, plastic, glass, bulbs, electrical components
4. Strong personality with founded argumentation as to enforce product and production improvements
5. Work in a multicultural environment, communicate easily in Mandarin and English (CET 6)
6. Be flexible, independent and able to work under stress
7. Good communication skills and adequate reporting

 

Lighting Designer

Main Responsibilities

·        Design a large quantity of luminaires on different levels of quality to meet the wide range of consumer luminaire needs.

·        Design based on market input.

·        Handle the whole design process from initial sketches up to detailed design, ready to be transferred to engineering.

·        Working in a team to achieve highest design quality in the final product.

 

Job Requiretments

1.      Knowledge of sketching/ designing in 3D programmes (Unigraphics/ Solidworks/ Pro engineer)

2.      Experience in Luminaire design or engineering

3.      Experience with rapid prototyping techniques

4.      Part of Asian design networks. Active interest in Design / Asian design

5.      Knowledge of materials and production techniques (plastics, metals, glass, ...)

6.      Clear set of communication skills

7.      Fluent English

Product Officer

Main Responsibilities

·       Consolidate and maintain all Product/Packaging information, in line with strategy and positioning

·       Prepare items like User Manuals, Packaging Die cuts, MIG, Technical data

·       1st draft of Packaging brief/layout, consistently across individual RPM portfolios

·       Follow up on issues after commercial release of the products

·       Track and compile competition activities

·       Provide regular analysis of trends per Family/NLO/Roadmap/PiPo/Margins/PLM

·       Prepare/Validate inputs for various stakeholders (Business Development, Marketing Services, Downstream, Development, Logistics)

·       Follow up on secondary projects (Spares, Component changes, Packaging revisions etc.)

Job Requiretments

1.      Excellent oral & written English

2.      Bachelor degree or above

3.      1-2 years experience in relevant position in MNCs
