Thomson Reuters is currently recruiting for internship positions from major universities in Beijing.  This internship opportunity is to allow students to experience real working environment and to gain practical market knowledge in a corporate setting. Students will get an opportunity to learn some basic finance, accounting or capital market knowledge. Internship experience could be a distinct advantage for future job openings. Job Title:              Data Analyst, Internship

Work Location:     Zpark, Beijing (北京海淀区上地中关村软件园)

Work schedule:    At least 20 hours a week, Afternoon is preferred.

                          Starting from October 2009 to the end of November 2009    

 

 

 

      COMPETENCIES

 

§           Senior undergraduate student (3rd and 4th year) or graduate student (1st or 2nd year)

§           Efficient in English (and firm understanding of spelling, grammar and usage) a pre-requisite

§           Fluency in Japanese, Japanese major a distinct advantage

§           Courses in financial markets or accounting principles a distinct advantage for some roles

 

 

     JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

§           Provide clients with Financial Data relating to companies within all various Asian countries

§           Tasks mostly include entry level data/text collection and processing.

§           Maintain databases in a timely and accurate manner

§           Use appropriate language skills to understand and source financial information

§           Keep abreast of daily market activity to ensure Thomson Reuters information is timely and    complete
