1) Sales Manager (China) x 1 position
• Purpose of the role:
To establish and maintain a network of senior management contacts within their allocated client portfolio in order to expand on existing sales opportunities and cross sell other Misys solutions/products to the clients
Accountability:
• Establish agreed short and long term account plans for developments of accounts, as well as key accounts, using Misys template to maximise customer value at maximum margin
• Identify, manage and close opportunities with appropriate authorisation to achieve or exceed targets
Provide timely and accurate forecasts in Misys format that enable short term sales, medium term revenue and long term staffing planning
• Identification of market opportunities that develop and grow a strong sales pipeline
• Build and maintain relationship with senior bankers and related relevant organisations in order to develop and grow the existing accounts
• Assist in the sales cycle in terms of the project definition for third ** / consultancy sales to ensure Misys optimises every sales opportunity through these partnerships.
• Complete market research to provide accurate profiles of allocated banks in terms of their existing product/system, key personnel and strategy in terms of future development of their system, and competitor products, personnel and activities
• Establish and maintain contact with Product Centres and Marketing Dept to gain additional market and product information that will lead to additional sales opportunities
Requirements:
• Educated preferably to degree/ Master's degree level
• Experience in Banking reference and Banking Software experience.
• Proven track record of "selling" and achieving sales targets at a high-level to the banking sector (5-10 years).
• Experience with Misys Products or experience with a direct competitor would be a distinct advantage.
2) Solution Consultant, Opics TCM (China) x 1 position
( Responsible for Trade Innovation and Opics products)
Purpose of the Role:
Increase hit rate of the sales efforts through correct positioning of Opics Plus product offering in the pre-sales cycle focusing on the key criteria of the prospect/client and leverage against competitors by understanding their weaknesses and monitoring their activity
Accountability:
• Establish credibility with the client, analysis of the client's need and position Opics Plus product modules appropriately to ease the sales process and optimise the efficiency
• Organise and lead product demos and workshops to assure the competitive advantages of the Opics PLus solution is understood by the prospect
• Preparation of RFI/RFPs to assure the Opics PLus products / modules are presented according to the key criteria of the prospect/client
• Advice on best practice and technology, mentoring and advising throughout all phases of the sales cycle to ensure world class solution selection
Collaborate with sales representatives throughout the lifecycle of the sales campaign, including exploratory meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and gap analysis to assure consistency of messages
Requirements:
Academic and Professional Qualifications
• Degree educated
Experience
• At least 7-10 years of relevant banking experience in treasury and capital markets or related activity e.g. consulting to the banking industry
• Been involved in the selection and implementation of a banking solution within a financial institution is a distinct advantage
• Experience in financial service software especially treasury competitors consulting or pre-sales support
• Strong financial mathematical and statistics background
• Strong knowledge of financial products in particular Derivatives, Fixed Income and FX
• Strong knowledge of risk management
• Strong Knowledge of the Back Office processes (Settlement, workflow and Confirmation) of the treasury products
• Strong knowledge of the treasury accounting polices and familiar with Hedge Accounting
• Strong knowledge of the market and credit limits
• Programming in MS Excel using VBA scripting and macros
• Ideal candidates will have superior troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
• Ability to work independently and in teams geared to individuals who are good in multi-task.
3) Senior Business Consultant, Summit (China) x 3 positions
Accountabilities:
• Responsibility for Back Office modules as Back Office Business Consultant
• Implementing Misys Summit software as a domain specialist
• After gaining sufficient experience with the Summit product the Back Office Consultant will provide training for clients on new or existing system functionality, provide sales presentation support, and perform implementation tasks.
• Examples of domain areas include accounting for Interest Rate derivatives, FX and Bond, Straight Through Processing, Documentation processing.
• Consultants are urged to learn constantly, leading to rotation to new domains and fostering personal development.
Skills required:
• Degree in one of the following areas: mathematics, physics, economics, finance, information technologies
• At least 5 years of work experience in Back office Fixed Income and/or Interest Rate Derivatives markets - familiarity with equities, credit derivatives and FX products.
• Experience completing business analysis and writing specifications for new functionality is a plus.
• Experience with Summit, or other standard financial software applications is a plus.
• Ideal candidates will have superior troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese.
• Ability to work independently and in teams geared to individuals who are good multi-taskers.
4) Project Manager (China) x 1 position
Purpose of the Role:
Execute and deliver medium to large projects both fixed price or time and materials, moderately complex in nature; ensuring that customer solutions are delivered on time, within scope, to budget and to the required quality standards.
Accountability:
• Scope: To cover Scope documented in Statement of Work document
• Cost: To control costs such that projects are delivered within specified profitability margin
• Schedule: To control project within committed schedule
• Forecast: Provide accurate and timely forecast for resource usage and revenue recognition.
• Project Reporting: Provide timely project status reports and other project management reports
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Degree in a related field and/or Project Management certification (Prince2 or PMP)
Preferred Experience
• Typically requires 7 or more years of application software implementation experience, along with 3 or more years of industry experience. ( banking)
• 1 -2 years experience as a project manager in another setting or as a Misys Team Lead or Senior Consultant.
• Prior experience as part of a project management team (lead role with plan, resource and issue/change responsibilities) that successfully managed a full life cycle implementation.
• Experience in supporting business development opportunities through proposal creation, review and presentation.
5) Global Solution Centre (Beijing)
a) Senior Technical Consultant x 2 positions
Accountabilities:
• Deliver IT Services and chargeable consultancy to the Misys TCM client.
• Work closely with the client to establish technology strategy at an application level
• Deliver innovative IT Architecture design, planning and implementation.
• Establish high, mid and micro level plans, set technical direction, anticipate issues/risks and translate client business requirements into system designs
• Help manage a project team from definition phase through implementation
• Assist in pre-sales activities
• Support client relationship building and identify sales opportunities
• Facilitate workshops and client meetings and provide assistance on pre-sale tasks such as RFIs and RFPs
• Contribute to development of implementation tools and product materials
• Identify the potential customizations required before and during the implementation of the Summit system.
• Specification of the client requirements and coordination with the local IT Development team or the Summit product center
Experiences / Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years experience in the banking industry or financial software industry.
• Strong expertise on Summit Systems (other experience on other Misys TCM software like LoanIQ or Opics will be a plus)
• Demonstrated project and business leadership skills.
• Demonstrable record of success in the implementation or replacement of core financial markets trading systems
• Diploma or Degree in I.T. Computing
• Technical Programming Knowledge Requirement:
• C++ on Windows or Unix (Entry to Intermediate level required)
• C# and dotNet (Good exposure)
• Oracle/Sybase - SQL/Data Access/Data Model knowledge (some exposure)
• VB or JAVA (some exposure)
• Web Services/SOA architecture exposure (would be nice)
Key Competencies:
• Strong understanding of the financial markets business, and associated trading systems.
• Strong IT Background
• Possess excellent Communication skills in English.
• To be an independent, self reliant contributor but must be able to blend in with the team and culture at the same time.
b) Junior Functional Consultant x 2 positions
The open position is for a Functional Consultant/Quality Assurance Engineer performing the following tasks:
• Write functional specifications based on client requirements.
• Develop test strategies and test plans
• Prepare testing effort estimates and project plans
• Execute manual and automated software tests
• Take ownership for performing software testing of a given functional area
• Develop and maintain test automation
• Follow quality assurance standards and processes
• Report software defects and track quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, test coverage
• Communicate status effectively to various stake-holders
Requirements:
• Bachelor or higher degree in Finance related field
• Knowledge of software development or quality assurance methodologies
• Experience in software quality assurance, software development, software technical support, or related field preferred
• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills. Skilled interacting with a globally distributed team compromising cross functional team members such as product managers, software engineers, and technical support engineers
• Flexible, adaptable, willing to learn, and able to work independently
• Experience using Windows or UNIX operating systems
• Exposure to automated testing, software programming, or software scripting would be an advantage
• Exposure to Treasury & Capital Market is a plus
c) Junior Technical Consultant x 7 positions
The open position is for a Junior-level Consultant whose main focuses are coding and unit testing based on our two treasury products: Summit and Opics. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an innovative, problem-solving approach and an ability to communicate with clients and other team members.
The candidate needs to have strong programming skills in various programming languages. It is also important for the candidate to have broad knowledge on various computer science areas.
Requirements:
• Object-oriented design and programming skills in C#/.NET, C++, Java or related language
• Programming skills in C, VB.
• Relational database technology - entity/relationship modeling and SQL access
• A Bachelors or advanced Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Working knowledge of Financial Software is a plus.
• Excellent Communication Skills in Chinese and English(written and verbal)
