Software Development Trainee
JOB PURPOSE:
Develop software on both J2EE and J2ME platform to deliver customized solutions that meet regulatory compliance requirement, the needs of customer and Company vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Develop software solution for Blue Bamboo’s Java technology platforms for handheld-devices and server according to technical specification.
2. Work together with software engineers to develop and test the transaction function. Effectively analyze technical problems and give proposals to eliminate the problem to increase client satisfaction.
3. Capable of documentation, from customer requirements to source codes of customers worldwide. Use professional know-how and experience to satisfy customers with solution successfully.
4. To participate in core product releases and adaptation for customer specific environment;
5. Must be a self-starter and the ability to work independently on diverse problem and be able to work under pressure with a tight schedule;
6. To investigate, troubleshoot and provide resolution to customer reported problems;
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master Degree in CS or related field
Skills & Abilities:
1. Strong knowledge in Java or knowledge of embedded C/C .
2. Capable of doing server side work in Java and/or .NET
3. MSSQL and MySQL knowledge
4. Database knowledge
5. Experience in certification of financial POS application or related industry is a plus
6. Experience in embedded software development is a plus
7. Knowledge and experience in J2ME and XML is a plus.
8. Excellent communication skill and ability to learn fast.
9. Fluent in English
Java Software Trainee (Swing/Eclipse Plug-in/SWT)
JOB PURPOSE:
Develop the PC utilities and SDK (Software Development Kits) for POS terminal. The SDK includes some tools and simulators to simulate the terminal functionality and the runtime environment in PC, which help the POS application developers create the terminal application easily.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
1. Develop device manager and relevant utilities in PC for terminal.
2. Maintain and develop the SDK (Eclipse plug-in) and simulator.
3. Develop, port and customize J2SE applications
4. Work together with server engineer to develop and test the terminal management and transaction function.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master Degree in CS or related field
Skills & Abilities:
1. Strong knowledge of Java and OO.
2. Be familiar with Java tools: ANT, Eclipse, and etc.
3. Familiar with Java GUI on desktop: SWING, AWT, or SWT.
4. Familiar with Eclipse plug-in is a plus.
5. Experience in security and cryptography is a plus.
6. Experience in J2EE and XML is a plus.
7. Good English.
