Job title: Research Associate
Department: Client Service
Overall responsibility
The Research Associate (RA) is part of the Client Service team in their office and in a larger office will belong to a specific Client Service Team. Their primary responsibility is to provide support to senior managers in maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and running projects. They are learning on the job the basic skills of market research in Client Service under close supervision from their manager and senior account team members.
Key responsibilities
The Research Associate is responsible for learning the following elements in order to develop as a member of Client Service:
acting as liaison between the Client and MB on project-related issues with supervision, ensuring that their needs are being met day to day involvement with projects for his/her clients, including drafting proposals, questionnaire design, liaison with Project Management data analysis interpretation and development of recommendations preparation of presentations of findings, liaison with CSS attending presentations with senior account team members. Gaining an understanding of individual job costs and monitoring job costs throughout a project, under supervision completing necessary database forms ensuring that they adhere to all procedures and policies in their team or office providing support to senior team members as required
Training
At the commencement of their employment, they will spend three months in Project Management, learning about the function and procedures within the department. They will then join the Client Service team. They will undertake the Foundation Program during their first year in Client Service.
Reporting
The RA reports to Account Manager or above in their team or office.
Personal skills
The following skills are essential:
University degree or above, major in Communication,Stat. Marketing, Math, Sociology, Psychology, ect. Strong interest in market research Strong analytical skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Commercial awareness Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
