Since 1996, the hospital has been rewarded as "Shanghai Civilized Organization" for 14 consecutive years. She was also rewarded "National Top 100 Hospitals" on patient-centering outsting medical services in 1999.   The hospital owns 1085 authorized beds but 1400 in actual use possesses 34 ward zones with 43 class two clinic departments, 10 medical laboratories more than 180 expert clinics employs more than 1800 staffs, including nearly 200 professors chief doctors, more than 60 national municipal professional committee members, more than 80 postgraduate supervisors. There are 21 teaching research sections, undertaking teaching tasks Tongji University, Nanjing Medical University, Suzhou University, etc, with more than 5000 class hours each year.
