Here are the main responsibilities for the intern news assistant job:

1)    Translation of interviews, newspapers, web reports, press conferences etc.
2)    Voiceovers for news reports
3)    Research on various stories
4)    Skimming Chinese newspapers and recording story ideas
5)    Production assistant on location when filming
6)    Log footage into the computer using Final Cut Pro
7)    Setting up interviews via phone and fax
8)    Help organize tapes and files

This job is great for someone who wants to break into the television news field, but it does require a strong grasp of English (both writing and speaking).  That person will mainly work with me and occasionally with the correspondent for Sky Italy.  Here is more information about me and my station:

I am the Beijing correspondent for Press TV (Iran) and I do regular 2-minute news packages on China covering everything from foreign affairs, economics to social issues.  Press TV is a 24-hour English news channel based in Tehran, Iran and broadcasts mainly to the Middle East and Europe, but increasing its reach throughout the world everyday.  Feel free to look at our website ww***ir.[点击查看]

The job can be flexible if that person still has student responsibilities. We encourage full-time hours Monday through Friday so that person can maximize the experience and learn as much as they can.  We work in an office with other reporters so the environment is very clean and professional.  Lunch is included everyday, but pay is an intern salary.  It can increase depending on performance and commitment level.  We are located at Jianguomen Diplomatic Compound.
