Summary
The Electrical Engineer –Technical Consumer Products, Inc. A global lighting company in Shanghai, China is responsible for working with Sr. design engineer on designing/refining switch mode power supply/lighting ballast/control projects to meet the target specifications.
Essential Duties
.
• Assist Sr. design engineer on New Product Development from conceptualization to production.
• Responsible for testing new products with an emphasis on using low cost design philosophy and design for ease of manufacturability in a high volume, mass production environment.
• Ability in basic English written communications with overseas project teammates on overall project efforts.
• Generate engineering documentation (Schematics, Bills of Material, magnetic specifications, costed bills of material, etc).
• Be involved in the support of the existing product line by identifying and approving the source of low cost electronic components, i.e purchasing and logistical support.
• Adheres to and promotes TCP’s company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team player and supports the continued growth of the company.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned by Sr. design engineer.

• Office/laboratory environment
Experience Requirements:
• No experience required. However, knowledge in the latest switch mode power supply and various switch mode topologies (includes PWM techniques, Current sharing, Power factor correction, Zero volt switching, etc) are preferred.

Education/Training:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• MSEE in Power Electronics major preferred.
