Risk Management Analyst

Job Responsibilities
 
The Risk Management Analyst will report to the Manager of Risk Management, and be dedicated to the conception, design, implementation of data analysis and reports that measure the effectiveness of the end-to-end detection decision flow. Key Day-to-Day Responsibilities includes:
 
(1)  Advanced Analytics - The Analyst will design and lead the execution of sophisticated quantitative analyses that translate Paypal's fraud/risk data into digestible and actionable insights.  This role requires a strong understanding of analytical methods (ROI/NPV, regression, correlation, sampling, significance testing, cohort analysis), and the computer/technical skills and software applications used to manipulate and present large volumes of complex data (SAS, SQL/relational databases, Excel/VBA, Excel PivotTables), as well as a hands-on understanding of the fraud/risk mgmt function (predictive modeling, performance measurement of risk management techniques).
 
(2)  Decision Effectiveness Reporting - The Analyst will lead the creation of reports and analysis tools that ensure global delivery of actionable information related to Paypal Risk Detections end-to-end effectiveness, as well as the creation / improvement of the underlying back-end data infrastructure.  This role requires the Analyst to be expert in the principles of data infrastructure and standard report design/delivery (logical database design/schemas, fact/dimension definition, data update routines, data integrity audits, and front-end reporting/analysis tools).
 
Requirements:
•    Master degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
•    Fluent in English, both written and oral. Good communication and presentation skills
•    Strong software programming skills and action oriented. 
•    Strong analytical skills and good understanding of modelling.
•    Quick starter that is eager to learn and grow.
•    Ability to work well in a team environment
•    Knowledge of Risk Management, e-Commerce, Payment is a strong plus
