Position Title: INFOTERRA Software Developer Engineer

Overview:

As part of the Astrium EADS Group, INFOTERRA is a leading provider of services and technologies in the field of remote sensing and aerial mapping to agencies and private companies around the world. As part of our growth in Asia, we are looking for software developer engineer based in Beijing. Software developer engineer will have different missions in China:

- to update and correct our products like Pixel Factory system based on customer feedbacks,

- to enhance our product line with new requests from Customers and headquarters from France,

Software developer engineer will follow an INFOTERRA training session during few months in France in order to acquire key knowledge and practices on INFOTERRA products and software development processes. Software developer engineer may be sent to foreign Asia / Pacific countries during few days in order to support locally our customers in those countries.

 

Required Skills:

  Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in those relevant fields

- Computer science with knowledge of two object-oriented languages and one operating system at least

- Software development process

  Additional experiences or skills is required in at least one of the following fields

- IT infrastructure (hardware, data storage, data base, networks)

- Linux operating system and network

- Image mapping and processing (Photogrammetry, remote sensing…)

- Web development knowledge (Java, PHP, EJB…)

  Keen to communicate, autonomous and ready to work in integrated team

  Good command of Unix-like operating system & MS Office-like tools

  Fluent in Chinese and English (Japanese is a plus)

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years, beginners are welcomed too due to our extensive training session in Europe.

Customer support engineer will have different missions in China and around Asia / Pacific:

 

-          to support & train our customers owning our products or requiring our services,

 

-          to evaluate technical requests from customers,

 

-          to customize INFOTERRA portfolio products for Asia / Pacific market.

 

Customer support engineer will follow an INFOTERRA training session during few months in Europe (France and Germany) in order to acquire key knowledge and practices on INFOTERRA products.

 

Customer support engineer may be sent to foreign Asia / Pacific countries during few weeks in order to support locally our customers in those countries.

 

 

 

Required Skills:

 

    Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in at least one of those relevant fields

 

-          Image mapping (photogrammetry, remote sensing…)

 

-          Computer science (knowledge of one programming language and OS…)

 

    Keen to communicate and with a sense of customer satisfaction

 

    Good command of Unix-like operating system & MS Office-like tools

 

    Fluent in Chinese and English (Japanese is a plus)

 

    Prepared to travel
