IBM China Global Delivery
IBM is the only IT company in the world, and also in China, to offer end-to-end solutions from hardware to software services and high end consultancy. IBM's services arm is the world's largest information technology and consulting service provider. Over 200,000 professionals help clients integrate information technology with business value.

IBM's network of global delivery Centres in more than three dozen countries including China is the growth play for IBM services business. IBM's approach is about directing the right tasks, with the right skills, in the right places. For example, we've centralised strategic sourcing for our procurement BTO practice in Greenock, Scotland. We've consolidated services operations for financial management and accounting in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And we've created a Centre of Excellence(CoE) for the shipping industry in Scandinavia and New York City.

China Global Delivery is currently IBM's second largest global delivery Centre worldwide. It is dedicated to providing clients with high quality IT solutions and services to help clients around the world achieve success and growth. Over the years, China Global Delivery Centre has significantly grown its employee base to provide consulting & application, infrastructure and business transformation services across the locations of Shanghai, Dalian, Shenzhen and Chengdu.

IBM China GDC was certified Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) V1.1 Maturity Level 5 by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) as early as 2004 and was renewed as a CMMI v1.2 organisation in 2008. With the latest and highest international standard institutionalised across China Global Delivery's sites, IBM continues its leadership in quality control in China's application services market.

IBM operates on a global scale with presence in more than 170 countries and 27 cities in China. It has developed a globally integrated business model that draws on the industry's best talent - developers, researchers, delivery teams, consultants, etc. - regardless of location. IBM works closely with employees to help them build a successful career path locally or in any one of the countries where IBM does business - an opportunity few companies can match.

IBM China GD Shanghai Centre was established in 1999. It provides Application Services to clients worldwide, especially in Japan. It also focuses on the invoice phase of Accounts Payable process supporting 15 countries in 5 languages (English, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Indonesian).

IBM China GD Shenzhen Centre was established in 2002. As a strategic Integrated Technology delivery (ITD) Centre, it provides technical support, call Centre and command Centre services to clients worldwide. Its Call Centre won the "China Best Outsourcing Support Centre" in 2008 and ITD also became one of the first few companies in China certified for ISO 20000, an international standard for IT service management in 2007. The Shenzhen Centre also provides application services to Asian customers, while its business units of Dot Com and Maintenance & Technical Support (MTS) sells IBM products & services (through telephone) and provides post-sales maintenance call services respectively.

IBM China GD Dalian Centre was established in 2003. It provides application services to customers worldwide, especially those in Japan and South Korea. As the strategic Centre for IBM Business Transformation Outsourcing (BTO) business in Asia, it provides credit card processing services and business process outsourcing services in functions of CRM (customer relationship management), finance and accounting, human resources and procurement, for clients worldwide. Dalian GD Centre has been awarded the "Best Software & Services Outsourcing Company" for four times by local government to date.

IBM China GD Chengdu Centre was established in 2007. It provides development, operation and maintenance of application systems to clients worldwide. It also runs as a regional operation Centre for IBM Global Procurement Centre, which effectively supports the IBM's global integration of supply chain management and provides services in multiple languages such as Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean.
