General description
- Assist the Compliance Manager in the effective performance of compliance function within the branch.
Job specific description
- Advisory duties: Assist to provide daily guidance and advice to new and existing bank products and other bank activities; assist to answer inquiries from Business units regarding compliance issues; assist to search relevant laws and regulations to ensure the bank’s compliance; identify compliance issues; assist Business units in preparing application package for new business licenses or permits;
- Regulator contact: Assist to act as a bridge to ensure that all regulations/ notices or other circulars promulgated by supervisory institutions are conveyed to concerned units within the bank; assist to act as regulators’ contact to ensure that all regulators’ inquiries and requests for filing and reports are taken care of; attend meetings called for by regulators as necessary; assist in arranging meetings and conferences with regulators if necessary;
- Compliance Training & Compliance Manual: Assist to arrange various compliance trainings, and develop and revise related compliance policies;
- Internal reports and Inquiries: Assist to prepare compliance internal reports and respond to Head office as well as parent bank regarding PRC compliance matters and PRC regulatory issues;
- Inspection and Investigation: Assist to coordinate regulators’ on-site inspections and investigations;
- Anti-Money Laundering: Assist in providing guidance on AML issues;
- Other compliance matters that may be assigned by senior management.

Position Requirements
- New graduates with the necessary qualification in banking and finance and/or accounting or law degree
- A Bachelor’s Degree;
- Candidate must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
