Description
This is a general EHS Engineer position with the possibility of supporting all EHS disciplines such as Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety and/or Ergonomics. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring we meet all legal and regulatory requirements for worker safety. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for the recognition, evaluation and control of those environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health or injury among the employees and/or citizens of the community
- Coordinating the monitoring of workplace environments and acts as a liaison to appropriate regulatory agencies
- Responding to customer/client requests or events as they occur
- Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment
Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in a related EHS technical field is required and/or a Master of Science degree in EHS technical field is desired. Additional qualifications include:
- Knowledge and understanding of EHS principles, analysis methodologies and relevant standards and/or guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and build long-lasting partnerships
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers, peers and management
- Ability to thrive in a highly cross-functional team environment
- Self-motivated, disciplined and flexible to adapt to new situations
- Competency with Microsoft* Office* applications
