THE SWIRE (MAINLAND CHINA) SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME(2010)

The Programme

The aim of the Programme is to provide internship opportunities for a selected number of outstanding students who are passionate in joining Swire, in particular our Property, Aviation and Beverages Divisions, to understand our businesses through hands-on experience.

The internship commences in July 2010 with a duration of 6 – 8 weeks depending on project requirement. Selected candidates will be posted to one of our operating companies in Mainland China to work on a specific project related to Property, Aviation or Beverages businesses. Interns will be invited to Hong Kong to go through a 2-day induction programme to gain a better understanding of Swire’s core business values, its structure as well as its latest developments. We offer formal mentoring and performance feedback to help you prepare for your future career.

Satisfactory completion of the Programme enables the intern to gain screening exemption to The Swire (Mainland China) Management Trainee Programme in 2011.

Requirements

We welcome candidates who

• planned to develop a long-term career in Swire’s Property, Aviation and Beverages operations in Mainland China

• possess a keen desire to learn and have demonstrated all round achievement in their academic life

Qualification

• Undergraduate or Postgraduate who will be graduating in 2011 of any discipline

Note: The Hong Kong Programme is only for candidates with right of abode in Hong Kong, and PRC or overseas nationals who are eligible for employment in Hong Kong under the revised immigration policy. PRC nationals who are not eligible for employment in Hong Kong under the revised immigration policy should apply for the Mainland China Programme.

Allowance

We offer a fair monthly allowance for the interns.
