RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand customer’s application requirements and provide software solutions, as well as help develop and maintain specification. Such activity requires the ability to comprehend, discuss and define the various technical aspects of the product.
2. Develop application software to customer’s need in a timely manner.
3. Testing the software in conjunction with electrical component hardware, along with the ability to perform high level system analysis to determine system performance from application perspective.
4. Participate in the development of software development methods, tools, and software libraries which will yield consistent and readable code aiding in the development of software modules.
5. Perform schematic design using engineering principles and advanced math concepts.
6. Create PCB layouts with a complete understanding of the impact of traces, vias, planes, layers and component placement.
7. Validate prototypes and trouble shooting failures.
8. Providing technical support to local sales marketing.
9. Respond with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers.
10.Evaluate situations objectively and demonstrate the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive impact on work performance.
11.Promote quality and continuous improvement philosophy.
12.Demonstrate flexibility in approach and ideas, respond positively and support changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments.
13.Provide reports as required by Sauer-Danfoss organization.
14.Ability to work in international team environments
15.Energetic, willing to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests
16.Willing to travel if needed
17.Performs other related duties or special projects as directed.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, computer, software or similar relevant area) preferred, BS minimum.
2. Software programming experience is required, at least 1-3 years of related experience.
3. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
4. Knowledge of electrical components and embedded control systems
5. Knowledge of the following equipment: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies, RF equipment, current probes.
6. Excellent problem solving skills
7. Hardware design experience is desired.
