Software Development Engineer – Intern (Beijing)
Responsibilities:
- Define software requirements, scoping, architecture, and design. Drive technology choice for business and innovation.
- Serve as key technical resource in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, testing, to deployment, documentation, and maintenance.
- Develop and test code. Perform bug fixes.
- Work with Amazon’s global development teams as needed.
- A minimum of 4-day per week full time work in our Beijing office.
Summary of Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering or a related field.
- Enthusiasm in solving interesting problems.
- Passion to innovate and simplify.
- Extensive programming experience in C /Java with strong OO design skills.
- Experience in relational database design and application development. Exposure in system performance optimization preferred.
- Experience in schema design, SQL tuning and troubleshooting, knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture, SQL, PL/SQL preferred.
- Development experience in a Unix/Linux environment preferred.
- Knowledge of XML web services preferred.
- Familiar with agile development methodologies.
- Proficient in English: in both writing and speaking.
