Job Title: Teaching/Residential Assistant (TA) in Summer Programs In Shanghai
Organization: Foundation Global Education develops and runs educational programs for Englishspeaking high school students from around the world. For 2010 we have programs in China and India.
Program: Perpsectives China/Chinese Culture-Mandarin and Perspectives China/Community

Responsibility: Full-time Teaching/Residential Assistants (TAs) will have key roles in both the academic and student life aspects of the program. TAs will help in classrooms, serve as interpreters, and supervise students in their residences. TAs from both
China and US will be key elements in the students' learning experience. TAs will work as part of the teaching/administrative team with experienced teachers from the United States.
Compensation: We pay for all program-related expenses, including round-trip travel to and from Shanghai, accommodations, meals, laundry, and any other program-related expenses.
Qualification: Undergraduates (sophomore and up) or graduate students from Chinese and United States universities who are fluent in both English and Mandarin and interested in the introduction of high-achieving high school students from many countries to a deeper understanding of China. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in teaching and/or tutoring younger students and course work and travel in areas related to the program.
Date: All TAs from China and the US and all administrators from the United States will arrive in Shanghai on July 7 for training and orientation. Students arrive on July 11.
The program ends on August 7. TA responsibilities will be over on August 9.
