Requirements
Must be a Chinese national.
Academic qualification: Post schooling diploma/degree in Engineering
Alternative qualification: Toolmaker that has been trained on a cad system for NC programming & Tool Design
Experience: Can be a new graduate but must be trained with a Cad system as part of the degree.
Language: must have a good command of the English language.
Computer literacy: Good working knowledge of a CAD system.
UGNX, Catia V5 or I-Deas preferred but not essential
Understanding of Parametric solid modelling preferred but not essential
Must hold valid passport
Must have a medical certificate
Nature & Scope of work for a CAD Designer
The position of Trainee Cad Designer has significant autonomy and responsibility. The key responsibility is successfully ensure all Cad models meet the customers deliverables and criteria.
The key responsibility is to develop a cad model in the desired timeframe with correct dimensions and criteria.
The incumbent will be required at times to liaise with customer personnel and ensure the commercial interests of Venture are protected during the development of the product design.
The position is responsible for creating a product that interfaces correctly with surrounding components and has the packaging criteria that meets customer deliverables. The product must have full manufacturing feasibility standard and appropriate assembly process .
The incumbent is expected to work within Company policies including Workplace Relationships Policy and Professional Conduct Policy.
Responsibilities
Ensure Cad deliverables meet the criteria requirements of the customer.
Ensure all Cad deliverables are completed in the agreed timeframe.
Be prepared and be present at Cad reviews as required.
Ensure data is checked to customer standards
