Project Assistant, Internship May '10 - April '11

Intel, the world's largest manufacturer of microprocessors, is also a leading manufacturer of computer, networking and communications products and a provider of infrastructure to and services for the world-wide Internet economy. 
We are seeking for 2 qualified interns for our China MNC sales team, to work as project assistants, one in Beijing and one in Shanghai. They will participate and contribute in the major retail project co-operating with our MNC customers (e.g. HP, Dell, Asus, Sony....etc). This project has been piloted in 2009, we are scaling it in 2010 (in terms of # of retail stores/cities). It is expected to further formulize it as the standard program among our on-going product life-cycle development. 
They are expected to help different account teams on the execution of the mentioned project. It is opportunity for external interfacing and real project implementation. All are required good project planning and tracking skills. At the meantime, they are also responsible for certain data sourcing and analysis functions. They will contribute our overall project long-term development, formalizing and scaling the project in 2010 and beyond. 
They will: 
? Focus on project delivery in consumer sector 
? Develop analytical thinking and general project management skills 
? Collaborate with project teams made up of people with diverse and complementary skills 

Your daily responsibilities will vary by the project timeline, but you may find yourself: 
? Performing rigorous business project with quantitative analyses 
? Supporting team in developing and assessing strategic options 
? Communicating clearly and concisely in written and oral formats, in English and Chinese. 

Qualifications 
We are seeking a highly motivated individual comfortable working in a self-directed environment who meets the following criteria: 
? Experience in the IT industry, ideally in retail. Worked with OEM/Intel before is a plus 
? Result orientation and eager to learn 
? Strong sense and ability of project tracking/analysis/management/development 
? Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
? Can effectively source and analyze the market information, identify key trends and observations, draw relevant options/conclusions for management decision 
? Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment 
? Good interpersonal skills 
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese 

Minimum Requirements: 
Please do not apply for this internship if you do not fulfil these requirements. 
A minimum of three years University study majoring in one of the following: 
? Business Marketing / Management 
? Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering 

Fluent written and spoken English is essential. 
Number of work days per week: Minimum of 4 days per week 
Duration of the Internship: Minimum of 6 months. 
Starting date: May 5, 2010 
Interviews: Before end of Aril in Intel office (one in BJ Kerry Center, one in Shanghai Mart)
