Benjamin John Martin
Chef de Village (Resort General Manager)
33 years old, born in Auckland New Zealand
After graduating from the University of Auckland in Arts and Commerce, he joined Club Med in 2001 and he has worked in Club Med Resorts on Lindeman, off Australia’s Great Barrier Reef; Faru, Maldives; Bali, Indonesia; Kabira and Sahoro, Japan; Phuket, Thailand; Senegal, Africa; Bodrum, Turkey, Trancoso, Brazil.
In 2008, Benjamin succeeded to reach his goal in becoming the first New Zealand Resort General Manager from Asia. Since his appointment, he has conveyed the Club Med spirit and values to our guests as well as lived them with the multicultural members of his team.
With team spirit at the forefront, he has ensured that guests joining us for a Premium All Inclusive Holiday have been welcomed in environments of abundance, security, peace-of-mind and diversity of experiences with freedom of choice.
“I am very proud of my achievement. It is a goal I set for
myself when I first heard that there had never been a Chef de village (Resort Manager) from my country in Club Med. I have worked very hard to get here
and have had some amazing people help me reach my goal. I feel
very honoured and grateful,” said Benjamin.
