Title: Intern, Warner Bros. International Branded Services
Reports To: Marketing Director, Branded Services Asia and
Associate Director of Programming, Branded Services Asia
Location: Shanghai, China
Hours: Part-time:
l Minimum of 4 hours per day, 5 days a week during normal business hours
l Will also need to log-in from home during weekends and holidays up to 2 hours each day as needed.
Commitment: Minimum of 1 year
Job Description
This will be an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate to get “in the door” of the media/entertainment industry at one of Hollywood’s biggest and best studios. While this position is unpaid, it will offer a great opportunity to learn about the television business and establish contacts in the industry.
One of the key roles for the Intern will be to support the Marketing Director on all aspects of social media marketing of the WarnerTV linear channels and Subscription or Free (with ads) Video-on-Demand zones that WBIBS is launching around the Asia-Pacific region. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
n Setting up and continually updating accounts on all key social media platforms in key Asian territories (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Friendster, forums, other popular blogging sites, etc.)
n Creating, maintaining, and measuring engagement plans for each social media site with the goal of establishing massive and active fan bases for WarnerTV.
n Monitoring and managing social media mentions of WarnerTV.
n Staying up-to-date with social media developments in Asia.
The Intern will also be supporting the Associate Director of Programming on key aspects of the programming and scheduling of the WarnerTV linear channel and On Demand Zones. This may require detailed Excel spreadsheet work.
The Intern may work on other projects for other key executives on an as-needed basis.
Education
· 4 year university degree preferred
Knowledge/Skills Required:
· Languages: Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is a MUST, other Asian languages helpful.
· Must write well, using “hip” American English jargon—the intern will be a “personality” on the web that thousands of fans will follow
· Must be knowledgeable about social media networks, Internet/mobile trends, tools and best practices— Asian knowledge is best, but US and/or European knowledge is also helpful
· An understanding of pop cultural trends across multiple Asian countries helpful
· Good experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
· Knowledge of Basic web programming - an understanding of how to use HTML is plus
· Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and Final Cut PRO are pluses.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
n Create concepts and design for WBIBS marketing
n Adopt & localize global creative deliverables into creative designs for each client in Asia.
n Includes marketing communications, e-newsletters, online banner ads, flash ads, simple animations and video integration
n Event/Tradeshow design preparation, some photography, and some PowerPoint creations.
n Project manage multiple design requirements concurrently
The Intern may work on other projects for other key executives on an as-needed basis.
Education
· 4 year university degree preferred, Arts, Design, Graphic communications, Computer Graphics, background is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills Required:
· Languages: English, other Asian languages helpful.
· Knowledge of graphic software’s: Photoshop, Illustrator is MUST
· Good experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
· Experience with HTML, Flash, Final Cut PRO are pluses.
