Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Cisco Systems, Inc.
The Technology and Quality Systems Group (TQSG) is looking for an exceptiona
l and highly motivated software engineer with previous experience in designi
ng, implementing, deploying and sustaining complex software systems to join
the team.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will work on new systems covering distributed/centralized syst
ems, web services, test platform, databases, cryptography and security solut
ions. These solutions provide service delivery, test automation, process con
trol, data gathering and data analysis for the Cisco global manufacturing pl
atform. Additionally, the candidate will become the subject matter expert fo
r key systems already in existence as well as having the responsibility of e
nsuring that the team's operational needs are met.
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science with 4-7 years experience or related technical discip
line (or work-experience equivalent), MS preferred
Exceptional programming skills and a very in-depth understanding of C#, the
.Net framework
Possessing strong skills in the following technology areas: Web services, SO
AP, Serialization (XML and binary), General XML/XSD technology, Sockets, Dyn
amic Code Generation, Generics, Threading and synchronization, MS SQL.
Good to have some understanding of: GUI and usability design, design for sup
port/maintenance, crypto/security concepts
Several years of large systems software design and development experience, w
ith extensive knowledge of Windows
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivat
ed and able to perform in a global business model
Must also have excellent analytical abilities and problem solving skills
