Position: Survey Programmer Job description  - Shanghai
 
 Overview of Job Responsibilities
We are recruiting for the role of Survey Programmer within our survey programming team in Shanghai. The main roles of the survey programmer are to script medium-complex questionnaires within our scripting software, check test links and quota set ups for accuracy and ensure the timely creation and delivery of data collected in these surveys.
 
In this role you will be working closely with our internal project managers and data processors, whilst reporting to the team leader within a designated scripting team.
 
You should have a positive can-do attitude and be comfortable dealing with internal and external clients. You should also have a fantastic eye for detail and take pride in delivering accurate and timely delivery of projects
 
Assumed Entry skills
·         Fluency in English and Mandarin
·         Experience working in the Market Research Industry environment or in depth knowledge of the Market Research Industry
·         High level of numeracy and problem solving skills
·         Excellent communication skills with internal and external clients
·         Highly organised and able to multi-task
·         Ability to deliver on time and accurate results to agreed deadlines
·         Works well under pressure
·         Ability to maintain quality requirements
·         Competency in knowledge sharing and the willingness to provide systemic improvements
·         Techical skills in JavaSript, HTML, Jscript and other relevant programming languages
·         A thorough understanding of programming standards and logic
·         Knowledge of SSPS and at least one other data format
Prior work experience
1- 2 years relevant experience
Formal education
Tertiary education in a relevant discipline
 
Skills preferred but not essential
Experience in Online Market research
Good working knowledge of Confirmit scripting
Knowledge of Flash programming
 
Position Key Responsibilities
Learning and adhering to Research Now policies and procedures. 
Ensuring that all internal system, PRISM and JIRA are appropriately updated in a timely manner
Ensuring that all the project work is delivered on both "right" and "on time" to clients.
Attending kick-off calls and providing technical support to Project Managers and to Clients where necessary
Advising internal and external clients on how best to present questions online to ensure the desired data format
Thoroughly check online survey is working and co-ordinate any amendments with Project Manager; ensuring that quotas are set up and functioning in accordance with specifications
Co-ordination of survey closure.  Closing each project and providing clean and accurate data files correctly labelled to Project Manager's specifications
Check survey data frequency counts against questionnaire for accuracy of data
Actively ensuring awareness of all procedural and scripting standards and that these are being followed at all times; keeping up-to date on RN global standards in programming
Supporting and training junior and new team members
Learning and proactively assimilating new technologies and continuously seeking to improve programming skills and ability of self and team members

Position: Project Manager Job description  - Shanghai based
 
 
Overview of Job Responsibilities
We are recruiting for the role of Project Manager within our Operations team in Shanghai. The main roles of the project manager are to conduct kick off calls, mark up online questionnaires, ensure the accuracy of online test links and manage the execution of fieldwork and the delivery of final data in a timely manner and with complete accuracy. A project manager would work on jobs from medium-high complexity.
 
In this role you will be working closely with operations team members in survey programming and data processing to execute successful projects for our clients, whilst reporting to the team leader of your designated team
 
You should have a positive can-do attitude and be a clear and confident communicator. You should also have a fantastic eye for detail and take pride in delivering accurate and timely projects

Relevant industry experience
Good client management skills
High standard of numeracy
Excellent attention to detail
Effective time management skills

Experience of checking and verifying survey data
Basic understanding of survey scripting methods
Ability to work well under pressure

Experience of executing complex online research projects including conjoints and segmentations and trade offs

Position Key Responsibilities
 Learning and adhering to Research Now policies and procedures. 
Ensuring that all internal systems are appropriately updated in a timely manner
Ensuring that all the project work is delivered on both "right" and "on time" to clients.
Check questionnaire prior to scripting for suitability and online format, check screening criteria against project specifications, logic and routing checks, and demographic information required. 
Conducting and documenting kick-off calls with clients to ensure a full and thorough understanding of the project requirements and accuracy of documentation
Invite the SP and CDM of each project to attend the kick off call
Brief survey programmer (SP) prior to set-up and ensure accurate questionnaire mark up
Thoroughly check online survey is working and co-ordinate any amendments with client and programmer.  Provide client with an error free online survey link in a timely manner
Co-ordinate questionnaire translation when necessary
Co-ordinate sampling volume and selection
Set up project on the intranet for VOP surveys
Monitor survey progress and quotas, carry out data checks, communicate with client, highlight any problem areas and propose solutions
Co-ordinate survey closure and data preparation with DP.  Close project and inform finance and sales department.
Fill out the project checklist for each of the projects you've been assigned to as the primary PM
Supporting and training junior and new team members
