Brief Introduction of this Position:

This person is responsible for assisting the full-time staff in monitoring and providing front line technical support to on-site service for LED displays around the world. They will help check for problems, troubleshoot in some situations, alert the proper person of the problem and dispatch service if needed. They will work closely with technical support and customer service to provide the best possible service. They also may help the USA NOC troubleshoot or with other functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support the Daktronics Customers by answering incoming calls, providing assistance and communicating customer needs to Account Service Mangers.
2. Monitor System performance of display systems using Daktronics Intelligent Device management system (IDM) and Webcam where available.
3. Construe information from Daktronics Intelligent Device management system (IDM) to determine if issues need to be elevated.
4. Provide technical direction and support if needed to the on-site technical service companies.
5. Recognize hardware and software warnings prior to failure to prevent system downtime.
6. Utilize tools such as Visiconn, a content management system, and both internal and regional service and support personnel, for controlling and managing display networks.
7. Verify programming schedules, content, file transfers and generate daily proof of performance reports.
8. Accurately update and maintain technical activities log in Quickbase or Amdocs.
9. Communicate system failures with customer service, engineers and markets. Work with resources to resolve all issues in a rapid manner. Ensure the customer is satisfied with Daktronics product and service.
10. Learn Daktronics software such as V1500, V7000, V-Net, and Visiconn.

1. Degree in Communication, English, Computer Technical or other related area preferred. Students who will graduate in 2011, are hard-working, and can make sure the sufficient working hours are very welcome. Interns with good performance will have the chance to transfer to full-time after graduation.
2. Computer skills including Internet navigation, word processing and spreadsheets. Prefer effective keyboard skills.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
4. Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a positive, professional manner.
5. Ability to work on own with little supervision and be a self-starter.
6. High level of customer service skills.
7. Highly organized and detail orientated.
8. Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours.
9. Self-motivated, with initiative and well organized.
10. Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
11. Ability to effectively communicate in English.
12. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team setting, and ability to give and receive feedback on work.
13. Must live in Shanghai.
14. Work at least 24 hours every week.
15. Students who will graduate in Mar or Jun in 2011 will be preferred.
