RMA Technician

Purpose of Role:
To analyse faults in the products that have been returned by customers
Reporting Relationships:
Reporting to Customer Service Manager
Key Accountabilities:
Accountability:
1) Gather data on faulty products through interpretation of failure description from customer
2) Analyse data through Root Cause Failure Analysis
3) Report findings to other areas of the business
4) Maintenance of analysis equipment in the lab
5) General
Measure of Success:
1) Information needed to analyse the faulty product is clear and understood fully
Customer is assured and satisfied
2) Cause of failure is determined quickly by following the prescribed process
3) Ensure close loop investigation process is followed though and verify that corrective actions are implemented into manufacturing
4) Equipment is fully functional at all time
Improvements to equipment are proposed when required
5) Process improvement and adherence to H&S standards and operating procedures
