Lei Zhang

MANAGER,SEMANTIC SEARCH Lei Zhang is a research staff member in the Information & Knowledge department of IBM Research - China. His research interests include knowledge representation, information extraction and retrieval, question answering, Semantic Web, and statistical learning. He and his team had worked on semantic search and its medical applications. In the last three years, he and his team worked on using structured knowledge to help question answering in the DeepQA project. He got two IBM Research technical accomplishment awards and one outstanding technical accomplishment award. Outside IBM, he is active in a few academic communities and is one of the major initiators of the China Semantic Web Symposium series starting from 2007.

Feng Cao

Dr. Feng Cao is the manager of Business Intelligence team, Information and Knowledge department, IBM Research-China. He and his team's research work focuses on healthcare solutions especially Semantic Web and data management applications in hospital, community care and home care.
