1. Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction Management or a related field
2. Fluent spoken & written English & Mandarin with comprehensive listening and writing skills
3. Technical construction vocabulary in English & Mandarin
4. Ground-up experience in construction site development
5. Must understand engineering, architecture and other construction drawings (contracts, plans, specifications and regulations)
6. Must be an organized, detail-oriented, problem solver with a strong work ethic
7. Must be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
8. Must be decisive and work well under pressure
9. Must be committed to learning western practices and following processes and procedures
10. Must be able to manage several projects / activities at the same time
11. Must be able to analyze and resolve problems on your own; should be a self-starter and a leader
12. Must be able to use a computer and know how to or quickly learn project management software
Job Description:
1. Direct all project controls and development
2. Communicate design intent and/or technical needs to department employees & contractors
3. Supervise construction methods and materials used
4. Schedule and coordinate sub-contractors to meet project requirements in a timely manner
5. Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, local authorities and contractors
6. Negotiate with vendors to get optimal pricing
7. Plan & coordinate department work
8. Budgeting & estimating
9. Contract administration
