Intern of Demand Planner
Description
A highly visible role that will oversee the Circuit Protection Demand Planning (forecasting and actual consumption) requirements process. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing Demand Plan that will enable the Circuit Protection Units to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the sales, customer service, supply chain teams is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Compiling monthly and 18 month Demand Forecasts for the category by GPL and by RPN.
• Loading the forecast data to MRP system.
• Continuously improving forecasting techniques, method, and approach. Relating and measuring the impact of forecast accuracy
• Identify, analyze, and document the forecast errors related to the demand forecast for identification of corrective actions to initiate short and long term positive change
• Tracking and reporting forecast accuracy metrics and driving continuous improvement in sales forecasting
• Building relationships with sales and PM to understand current and upcoming key customer needs and special demand requests
• Communicating with the Supply Chain Planner in a rapid and timely manner on emerging Demand changes and special requests
• Work with PM groups to determine time-lines for the collection of promotional and new products forecasts
• Participating to the Pre-S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) and S&OP meetings with all cross functional departments
• Evolving and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
• BS degree or above, preferably in Business, engineering or related field
• Detail oriented
• Extremely organized and detail oriented
• Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
• Ability to analyze data and determine opportunities for improvement
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Good communication and Team building skills
