What do we offer?

Consisting of three placements over the first two years, to include a period of at least 3 months working and living overseas - followed by a 12 month capability consolidation role - the program will give you exposure to different parts of Operations. Wherever you go and whatever you do, our roles carry real responsibility and there will be excellent opportunities to develop your professional skills, and a chance to work towards relevant professional qualifications.

 

We will continuously support your development as a leader through coaching, mentoring and your participation in an international Operations Graduate network within AstraZeneca. Performance will be assessed throughout - with progression toll gates built in at the end of each year.

 

Placements start in September 2011 and will be based at one of our Global AstraZeneca sites in Europe, USA, Brazil or Asia Pacific.

 

The first assignment will be in Wuxi Site, AZ Asia modern and China only Supply Point. (IT/IS will in Shanghai AZ China Headquarters)

AstraZeneca Wuxi Site is located in Wuxi New District, Jiangsu Province. Accumulated investment totals $220 million, the largest manufacturing investment of AstraZeneca in Asia. The site covers 96000 sq. m. of total area, with construction floor space of 51000 sq. m.

The site is equipped with an advanced sterile and non-sterile production area, state-of-the-art laboratories, an automatic high-bay warehouse and efficient utility facilities. Around 500 employees work in the plant.

In April 2006, AstraZeneca announced to further invest $35 million in Wuxi Site over the next 5 years to increase capacity in order to meet rapidly growing demand in China market. In November 2008, AstraZeneca announced to invest additional $50 million in Wuxi Site for Global Formulation and establishment of Regional Packing Centre and High-Tech Receiving Centre.
