Summary of Responsibility
This position is responsible for the quality management system of the supply chain operations, and drive improvement projects or process changes when necessary. This position is also responsible to drive root cause investigation and implement effective corrective actions on logistics complaints. He/She should assist in production scheduling.
Key Accountabilities
· Warehouse Quality Management System
Ø Work with warehouse specialist on continuous improvements to warehouse processes
Ø Optimize warehouse utilization and look for ways to increase efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations
· Complaints Handling
Ø Drive timely root cause investigations
Ø Follow up on corrective actions and propose process improvements to prevent re-occurrence
Ø Follow up on claims to relevant parties when needed
· Supplier Management
Ø Perform process audit on 3PLPs
Ø Identify areas of improvements and work with 3PLPs on improvement plan
Ø Conduct supplier rating and feedback to 3PLPs for improvements
· Supply Chain & Site Plant Projects
Ø Actively look for costs reduction and process improvement projects
Ø Champion improvement/optimization projects with local university
· Backup Production Scheduling
Ø Involved in all production scheduling activities
Ø Perform actual production scheduling for at least once a week
Qualifications and Requirements
• At least a Master degree holder or equivalent in Industrial Engineering (Logistics Engineering / Logistics Management / Operation Management / Systems Engineering / Supply Chain Management)
• Relevant experience on warehouse management and supplier/vendor management is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of supply chain methodology and relationship to distribution and inventory management.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent in spoken & written English communication skills.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
• Highly analytical and mathematical oriented and possess excellent problem solving skills
• Forward looking attitude, highly self directed and have proven track records in process improvement and/or cost reduction implementation.
