A trainee working in the human resource or HR department is given responsibilities of different aspects of the department, which would help him to progress to the officer level. The HR department is like a link between the employees and employers and plays a major role in keeping the various functions of the office smooth. The HR trainee has to assist with the production and implementation of the company’s HR policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ø Rotate in different HR functions to gain HR knowledge, on the job experience and develop along the HR professional career ladder
Ø The rotation program includes assignments in different HR functions, e.g. HR operations, staffing, university relations, compensation & benefit, organization development & learning, HRIS, etc based on business and project needs
Ø The rotation program will last for 1 or 2 years and after graduation from the program the trainee will work in one HR function
Skills and Specifications
Ø Interested in working with people and have good interpersonal skills
Ø Quicker learner and willing to work in a matrix organization
Ø Good at data analysis and down to details
Ø Good English capability
Ø Good team player
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably with related majors as Human Resources, Administration and Foreign language studies.
