Job Title: RF Engineering Internship

Position Overview:

The RF Engineer will be mainly responsible for the design and tune of the antenna and RF front-end subsystem to enable the realization of sensor node and master level node in a wireless sensor network. The design may include but not limited to selecting and matching the microwave components such as LNA, PA, Diplexer, Duplexer, Filter, Mixer, Transceiver and circuit layout, debugging and tuning.

 

Job Functions

-        At least 4 days per week and more than 6 months working.

-        Develop new antenna technology for mobile terminals.

-        Evaluate and select the chipset and RF components for an cost-effective RF front-end for a wireless connectivity system using Zigbee, WiFi,Bluetooth or RFID.

-        Develop antenna and RF front-end for wireless sensor network subsystem. 

-        Design, plan, and self manage projects.

-        Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a small team.

-        Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, developing disruptive technologies.

-        Highly flexible attitude and ability to shift gears at a moment's notice.

-        Willing to face challenges and have great passion for new technologies.


Technical Requirements

 

-        Master or PHD candidate in Electromagnetics and Microwave Technology.

-        Proficiency in electromagnetic theory, antennas and microwave technology.

-        Be familiar with simulation software like CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, and ADS, etc. Experience in Matlab & Simulink is a plus.

-        Good understanding of RF component/circuit design or antenna design.

-        Understand the building blocks in wireless communication system.

-        Experience on RF circuit layout and debugging.

-        Experience on microwave measurement equipments such as VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, antenna chamber is a plus.

 

 

 

Job Title: Simulation Engineering Internship

 

Position Overview:

 

The System Simulation Engineer works in the Advanced Development (China) Group with the objective to build up the system co-simulation environment for wireless connectivity system or subsystem.  The primary objective is to establish the system level simulation using Matlab & Simulink with information gathered from simulation results using Agilent ADS and CST MWS / HFSS or measurement results of RF Front-end module and Antenna Module to evaluate the system performance of the wireless communication system/subsystem to realize virtual prototyping.

 

Job Functions

-        At least 4 days per week and more than 6 months working.

 

-        Simulate to evaluate the capacity and performance of the wireless communication system.

-        Collaborate with the antenna and RF front-end engineers to design and tune the wireless communication system.

-        Understand and simulate various standards of wireless connectivity system of WPAN such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, WiFi, RFID, etc.

-        Design, plan, and self manage projects.

-        Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a small team.

-        Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, developing disruptive technologies.

-        Highly flexible attitude and ability to shift gears at a moment's notice.

-        Willing to face challenges and have great passion for new technologies.



Technical Requirements

-        Master or PHD candidate in Communication Engineering / Electronic Information Engineering / Electromagnetics and Microwave Technology.

-        Hand-on experience in simulation tools using Matlab & Simulink to simulate communication system/subsystem.

-        Knowledge of the OSI model of communication system

-        Knowledge of the WPAN standards such as Bluetooth, ZigBee, WiFi, and RFID, etc.

-        Understand the building blocks of the wireless communication system.

 


Job Title: Embedded Firmware Engineering Internship 

Position Overview:

 

The Firmware Engineer works in the advanced development to understand and develop the cost-effective embedded system to realize the customized function of a touching system. It will be an MCU-based control system to bridge between the ASIC output and customer’s application host.

 

Job Functions

-        At least 4 days per week and more than 6 months working.

-        Understand the audio-wave touching and sensor technology.

-        Evaluate and select the microprocessors and components for a cost-effective MCU-based control system.

-        Program and debug the firmware program to realize the appropriate commands to customer host.

-        Layout the PCB board of the circuit and debug the mock-up hardware to realize the desired function.

-        Design, plan, and self manage projects.

-        Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a small team.

-        Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, developing disruptive technologies.

-        Highly flexible attitude and ability to shift gears at a moment's notice.

-        Willing to face challenges and have great passion for new technologies..

 

 

Technical Requirements

-        Master or PHD candidate in Electronic Information Engineering / Automation Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent major.

-        Familiar with different microprocessors such as ARM, 8051, Microchip PIC series, etc.

-        Hand-on experience in PCB circuit layout and debugging.

-        Hand-on experience in embedded system/firmware design and software coding with C++ and Assembly Language, etc.

-        Experience in Analog / Digital Circuit design is a plus.
