Company Background

 

Caledonia Investments Pty Limited (CIPL) was established in Sydney in 1992 to manage the equity portfolio interests of the owners and managers of the business, together with their families. In 1998, Caledonia (Private) Investments Pty Limited was created to extend the offering to a wider selection of families and individuals. Caledonia's first unit trust was established in the same year, the Caledonia (Private)Investment Trust. Over time Caledonia has developed a number of more specialised investment Trusts including the Caledonia Global Investment Trust in 2006, the Caledonia Imputation Trust in 2007, the Caledonia Small Caps Trust in 2009 and launching the Caledonia Asia Fund in 2011.The combined group currently manages over A$2 billion for more than four hundred investors. Caledonia is currently looking to expand the investment research team of the Asian Fund through opening an office in Shanghai.
