Academic Background
Majored in Oil Field Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with strong interest in working at oil field and acceptance to relocation in and out of China.
Development Scope
The Engineer Trainee is expected to develop necessary skills and fundamentals of the product and product installation while gaining familiarity in general rig-site equipment, operations and awareness.
Key Responsibility
· Actively participate with senior engineers to ensure that all possible preparations have taken place, equipment is fit for use and all pre-installation checks/testing have been carried out.
· Promote Weatherford’s branding through a professional approach to the job in hand.
· Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude and ensure that - Passport; Medical Certificate; Immunizations; Offshore Survival Certification and any other necessary local documents required to carry out business are fully up to date.
· Actively participate in workshop with equipment load-outs.
· Actively participate in workshop with equipment maintenance and testing.
· Actively participate with preparing deployment schematics.
· Actively participate with performing software simulations
· Actively participate with preparing installation procedures.
· Required training is undertaken to a satisfactory level of achievement.
· Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
· Enthusiastic, pro-active and have the ability to carry out tasks under instruction.
· Team player with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
· University degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering
· Possess an Engineering degree, including Mathematics & English (verbal and written).
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and procedures
· Familiar with oilfield related practices
· Familiar with basic computer programs
· Willing to travel and relocation per business requirement
