Designer Assistant (设计师助理)

Responsibilities：

• Design fashion forward and "brand right" products and packaging based on concept direction from Product & Design Managers (U.S.).
• Collaborate with team on color, print, fabric, trim & design development for each project.
• Produce technically correct artwork for textiles, packaging and labels.
• Develop technically correct specification packages for product designs.
• Create trend/presentation boards and sample mock-ups.
• Collaborate with Product Manager on fabric & trim development that support concept direction, brand image & meet price points
• Gain a sound understanding of technical capabilities, construction methods, and emerging new techniques.
• Conduct initial sample evaluations by reviewing incoming samples as needed and providing effective communication to US team and vendors in timely manner.
• Coordinate closely with Sourcing and prepare technical drawings for home décor sourcing development.
• Maintain knowledge of latest fashion and home décor trends; interpret and apply appropriately to BLH product development.
• Trend research (WGSN, shopping, trade shows) & prepare reports; provide research summary at least once per month.

Requirements:

• knowledge of fabrics and trims
• Excellent computer skills including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of weaving and/or embroidery software would be an advantage.
• knowledge of latest computer programs and tools, including digital photography use, etc.
• Bachelor degree or above
• The major is design or other related major. Have a good sense of fashion & trend, Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.
