Nine Bridges Capital is looking for an Analyst/Assistant to join the financial advisory team in Shanghai. The primary industry focus will be lifescience/biotech but will include other industries, such as cleantech and alternative energy.

Analyst Responsibilities

· Provide timely, high quality support to partners in Shanghai and San Francisco.

· Cold Calling – sourcing and pre-screening deals. Develop and improve the deal sourcing and pre-screening process.

· Develop and expand VC/PE contacts database

· Determine fit and interest of new investment opportunities, in close cooperation with investment partners, utilizing company as well as personal resources and expertise, including external and internal information networks

· English/Chinese Translation – both oral and written

· Conduct detailed business and financial due diligence of potential investments and follow-on investments, including market, sales, competition, historical financials, financial projections, cap table and exit analysis.

· Conduct research initiatives to identify investment opportunities and expand knowledge about select technology fields.

· Occasional travel to customer sites and conferences

Skills

· Bachelors Degree – either in the biology/engineering or business

· Know-how in healthcare technology, market and business analysis or desire to learn

· Strong financial modeling experience or desire to learn

· Superior team, communication, and presenting skills

· Self starter with ability to work against deadlines

· Ability to translate both oral and written English to Chinese and vice versa.

· Minimum 0-2 years professional experience
