General requirements for all job openings

• MS, or PhD, in any engineering or science field, e.g. mathematics, EE, computer engineering, computer science, physics. (excellent BA graduated from top university is also acceptable)
• Strong analytical skills and solid background in one or more areas of mathematics, computer science, electrical engineering, and/or physics.
• Willing to learn and explore new technologies.
• Self-motivated and good team player.

Job BC-001, Software Quality Assurance Engineer（产品质量工程师）

As a software quality assurance (SQA) engineer, you will be responsible for designing, creating, and executing software test plan and test cases that are leading the way in assuring high quality of Brion’s world-class product. You will be challenged with systematic QA testing methodologies in concurrent computing software architecture environment. You will have the opportunity to work with software developers, hardware engineers and the application engineering organization on a regular basis.

Location: Shenzhen

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Play a major role to improve quality, functionality, reliability and usability of software products

·         Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plan with systematic QA methodology

·         Perform thorough test case execution and analysis report

·         Analyze test results to assure quality of existing and new functionalities

·         Work in cross-platform environment (UNIX/Linux and Windows)

Job requirements:

• Skillful with one programming language at least, for example python/perl
• Skillful with automated testing tools, know automation framework
• Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Attention to detail, patient, positive attitude under stress, sensitive to software bugs
• Familiarity with software testing processes and testing methodologies, know CMMI is a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience in Cross-Platforms (Unix/Windows) application testing environment

Desired but not required:

·         Good Knowledge in optics, semiconductor, lithography and IC design

·         Hands-on experience on UNIX, C/C , scripting languages, databases

·         Familiarity with software testing processes and testing methodologies

·         Skillful with automated testing tools and bug tracking systems

Job BC-002, Application Software Engineer（应用软件工程师）

As an application software engineer (ASE), you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing software programs including graphic user interface (GUI), database mapping/connectivity, network protocols, and other wide range of applications.  You will communicate and collaborate with other development team members in developing new products and functions while complying with Brion’s software development processes and procedures. You will be challenged with identifying problems and developing robust solutions that are based on state of the software technologies.

Location: Shenzhen

   Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Perform design and code development for general applications such as GUI, script, system management software.

Job requirements:

·         Proficiency in C/C or JAVA programming

·         Enjoy computer software programming as a profession

·         Attention to details

·         Able to carry out technical communication in English

Desired but not required: 

·         Familiarity with UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.

·         Familiarity with Scripting languages (sh, perl, python, lua, etc.)

·         Database skills

·         Knowledge in semiconductor lithography and IC design

Job BC- 003, Product Engineer（产品工程师）

As a product engineering group (PEG) member, you will act as a technical liaison between customers and R&D.  You will be responsible for providing technical support to the field application engineers and customers.  This role requires the individual to work between various organizations and play a key role in shaping and directing product growth and development.

Location: Shenzhen

Roles /Responsibilities:

·          Play a key role in product qualification testing and provide evaluation reports based on customer's requirements

·          Perform new functionality feasibility study and prototype testing

·          Perform world-wide customer support and participate in customer engagement activities

·          Create technical documentation for special applications and their usage

Job requirements:

·         Solid training and knowledge in mathematics and physics

·         Basic knowledge of software engineering and computer programming

·         Attention to details

·         Excellent communication skills in English, both writing and speaking

Desired but not required:

·         Familiarity with UNIX environment, C/C , scripting languages, databases

·         Familiarity and experience with computer systems and computer networks

·         Knowledge in semiconductor lithography, semiconductor manufacturing, and IC design

Job BC-004, Algorithm Engineer（算法工程师）

As an algorithm research and development (R&D) team member, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing algorithms that turn general requirement definitions into functioning software product.  You will communicate and collaborate with other development team members in developing new products and functions while complying with Brion’s software development processes and procedures. You will be challenged with identifying problems and design robust solutions that are based on state of the art algorithm and software technologies.

Location: Shenzhen

Roles /Responsibilities:

·         Develop mathematical modeling and computational algorithms for semiconductor lithography simulation products

·         Develop algorithm and recipe for optical proximity correction (OPC) products

·         Provide technical support of our products for world-wide customers

Job requirements:

·         Proficiency in C/C programming

·         Strong analytical skills and high creativity

·         Solid background in mathematics and/or physics

·         Attention to details

Desired but not required:

·         Proficiency in code optimization.

·         Knowledge of advanced engineering mathematics, numerical algorithms, computer graphics, computational geometry, image and signal processing, statistics, optimization algorithms, optical imaging theory, lithography modeling, etc.

·         Familiarity with UNIX environment, scripting languages

·         Knowledge in semiconductor lithography and IC design

Job BC-005, Documentation Specialist

This is an entry-level career position, suitable for a recent graduate. The initial duties are 100% production support, with the potential to move into editing and formatting as the candidate gains skills and experience in the technical documentation field.

Location: Shenzhen

    Responsibilities:

·         Organize changes and additions to manuals and Help.

·         Track the status and delivery of written information requested from engineering staff.

·         Communicate with subject matter experts to clarify conflicting or duplicate information. 

 Job Requirements:

·         Master’s degree in Computer Science.

·         CET 6 test score of at least 500.

·         Excellent command of written and spoken English.

·         Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired but not required:

·         Experience using Microsoft Word advanced features, such as cross-references, tables of contents, and indexes.

·         Experience creating and editing screen shots with Photoshop or SnagIt Editor.

·         Experience with wikis and similar Web-based collaboration tools.
