About the Nokia Global Graduate Program

Nokia views graduate hiring as a critical part of the company’s business transformation and people strategy.  The Nokia Global Graduate Program was designed with a recent graduate in mind.

Graduates hired into the Nokia Graduate program generally get to work in two different assignments over the duration of one year; each assignment is 6 months each. Upon assessment, top-performing Graduates will have an opportunity to rotate into a third, international assignment in the United States, Great Britain, Finland, Germany, China or India.  After the final (2^nd or 3^rd) assignment, Graduates move into fixed roles within the company to continue building their career.

Description

The positions are in Nokia CTO/CIC division, which creates market compatibility through open industry collaboration and standards, and leads Nokia’s compatibility and industry collaboration towards industry standards and technical regulation. CIC teams use their recognized world-class expertise in these areas above to enable and develop new business and industry partnering and opportunities. CIC operates as part of the CTO and is closely engaged with Smart Devices, Markets and Mobile Phones operations of Nokia to ensure consistent and highly visible external influence for Nokia on a global scale.

The team you will be joining focuses on China and International standardization.

The chosen candidate will be part of a talented team … The main responsibilities of the position include:

·          Participate in focused standardization organizations’ meetings and study the meeting documents, on behalf of Nokia

·          Get deep understanding for Nokia in key standard areas, working with Nokia international standard teams

·          Analyze the trend of China and international standardization in technology and the impact on the mobile phone industry globally

·          With technology solution, propose a way for Nokia business need to meet the trend development of China and international standardization in detailed technology fields

·          Promote the technology solutions to external parties

Location

This position is based in Beijing.  The Global Graduate Program candidate will have an opportunity to work on a variety of strategic projects within the Nokia CTO/CIC division.

Qualifications

·          PhD in computer science or electronics, graduated from high ranking universities

·          Rich experience in internet software and technologies

·          0-2 year work experience in research of technology or internet or ICT

·          Excellent communication and influential stills

·          Basic business experience is a plus

·          Fluent English both written and oral, Chinese in written and reading, mandarin
