Underwater World Singapore, situated on Sentosa Island of Singapore, is a unique and well-known oceanarium showcasing some 2500 marine life from 250 species from around the regions and is extremely popular with all our visitors for providing fun, leisure and educational experiences.

We are looking for passionate, self-motivated and driven individuals for the position of :

Marine Biologist cum Veterinarian
海洋生物学家/兽医 

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for the proper husbandry and care of the marine animal collection, the maintenance of current live marine animal exhibits, taking up the exciting challenge of developing new exhibits, contributing to marine animal and conservation projects through:

• Review and compilation of materials on new or existing animal species.
• Monitoring, care, feeding and maintenance of the existing animal displays and their water treatment systems
• Day-to-day care and medical treatment of the animals in the quarantine and display tanks, including the supervision of feeding, cleaning and transferring operations.
• Reviewing and keeping current with modern aquarium technology, techniques in animal care and in issues related to marine conservation.
• Manage and care for the animal collection in the aquarium including the diagnosis and treatment of disease, appropriate lab testing and evaluatioin, clinical research, preventative medical programs and nutrition;
• Develop treatment plans, provide routine preventative medical care, anesthesia, diagnostics, surgery and emergency care for the animal collection.
• Perform post-mortem examinations on animals at our facility or coordinate detailed post-mortem examinations and/or laboratory investigations at external labs/agencies.
• Ensure compliance with local licensing and animal facility requirements
• Maintain complete medical records for selected species

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from a recognised university
• Minimum 2 years' of related working experience in the areas of fish keeping, animal husbandry, pet care and water analysis
• 2 year renewable contract, able to work on weekends or public holidays
• Passion for animals

基于在新加坡，现任将负责妥善畜牧和海洋动物的照顾, 当前海洋动物展览现场维修, 发展兴奋与挑战性的新展览，对海洋动物和保护项目贡献    感觉公司介绍过于简单。。。

Responsibilities:

• 审查及编译新或现有的动物种类资料
• 日常护理和检疫，并显示在鱼缸的动物医疗
• 保持/发展目前技术与现代水族馆，动物保健和有关海洋保育议题的技术
• 管理及照顾动物的健康，包括疾病的诊断和适当的实验室测试和评价，临床研究治疗水族馆，预防医疗方案和营养
• 为动物进行制定治疗计划，收集常规的预防医疗，麻醉，诊断，手术和紧急护理
• 进行动物验尸检查或协调外部实验室/机构/实验室做详细验尸或调查
• 确保遵守当地发牌和动物设施要求
• 保持海洋动物种类完整医疗记录

Requirements:

• 本科(兽医 /动物医学、动物营养学)或同等学历及生物相关专业
• 适应长期出差
• 能从基层锻炼与实验、研发,对养殖有浓厚兴趣
• 至少两年鱼类饲养, 畜牧,宠物护理和水质分析专业经验
• 两年续约合同(和总部签订？还是我们？)
• 对动物热爱，具备较强的责任心和团队精神，能吃苦耐劳，能承受一定工作压力
