(The recruitment plan of post-doctorial research fellow-- The Center for Urban Studies (CUS) of Sun Yat-sen University/The Survey Center of social Science 2011 )

学科简介Introduction of major：

中山大学社会科学调查中心是经中山大学文科学术委员会批准成立的独立的社会科学研究机构，中心集调查与研究于一身，先后开展了“珠三角农民工调查”、“广州市民安全感调查”、“广东家庭跟踪调查”等多项调查，并在此基础上形成了一批有影响的学术成果和咨询报告。从2011年开始，中心将承担“中山大学特色数据库——中国劳动力动态调查”“985” 三期建设专项。该项目将围绕劳动力问题开展社会学、人口学、政治学、经济学、教育学、公共卫生学等多学科的调查，中心将以此调查项目为核心，拓展其他调查，打造一个开放的社会科学数据平台。中山大学社会科学调查中心不仅以推动社会科学实证研究为目标，也把服务社会、为国家和地方经济、政治、社会发展提供智力支持作为目标。

为完成以上目标，中山大学社会科学调查中心拟招收具有社会学、人口学、经济学、政治学、教育学、心理学、公共卫生学等相关学科背景，具有一定社会科学统计知识的博士后2人。

The Center for Urban Studies(CUS) of Sun Yat-sen University is a independent social science research institution which is approved and established by the Academic Committee of Arts of Sun Yat-sen University. The CUS conduct both survey and research work. We launched surveys and researches which included: “Pearl River Delta survey of Migrant Workers” ,“Guangzhou Public Security Investigation” and “Family follow-up survey in Guangdong”. The CUS will start to take the “985”third phase building special project: “Sun Yat-sen University characteristic database - the dynamic investigation of labor”. This project will conduct multidisciplinary surveys and researches about labor force, which related to sociology, demographic, political science, economics, education and public health and etc. The CUS plan to use this project as the key research target and then expand other investigation. At the meantime, we intent to built up an open social research database. However, to promote empirical research of social science is not the only target of the CUS. We also try to fulfill the purpose of serving the society and offer intellectual support for the state and local economy, polities and social development.

In order to fulfill the above target, The CUS intent to recruit 2 post-doctoral research fellows who hold the   knowledge of science statistics and major in sociology, demographic, political science, economics, education, public health or relative field.
