Job Purpose:
Provide maintenance support for a mature financial planning product and develop some side projects.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or better in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
Skills and Competencies: - Proficient in C# and .NET programming
- Familiar with SQL DB programming
- (Preferred) Experienced with Excel VBA or VB6 or
- (Preferred) Experienced with COM add-in development
- (Preferred) Familiar with Agile development methodologies
- Proficient in code analysis and problem solving
- Team player with good inter-personal skills
- Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Practical knowledge of software design patterns
Expectations/Tasks:
- 4+ days/week and 6+ months
- Effectively apply solid design principals and techniques in your work
- Provide maintenance support (investigate, debug, fix bugs, etc)
- Estimate cost/risk involved in development tasks accurately within a timely fashion
- Write clear and illustrative technical design documents and communicate with Support in English
- Deliver high quality software in a predictable fashion
