Macquarie's Shanghai Representative Office is now recruiting a Research Associate to expand our in-China research capabilities.  The position will have an emphasis on primary research taking advantage of location within the fast-growing and critically important China market.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with senior professionals, research industries and development themes in China, as well as personally and professionally develop through internal learning and development programmes.

The successful candidate will:

• be fluent in English and Mandarin
• have good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
• be highly motivated, demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently with good judgement and multi-tasking skills
• have a strong work ethic, commitment to team work, and high personal integrity
• be interested in securities, news, and economics
• have strong analytical skills and a focus on detail so to produce high quality output and relevant commentary
• be confident, outgoing, and able to build relationships
• be willing to travel to research assigned topics
• have excellent tertiary qualifications, with MBA, CPA, CFA and related qualifications highly regarded
• have experience in industry and/or accounting/financial analysis.
