  • Account Manager, Corporate Sales, China

    Springer was founded in 1842 and is today the largest science, technology, and medicine book publisher in the world, as well as the second largest academic journal publisher globally.  The company publishes more than 2,000 journals and 6,500 new book titles each year, in addition to its array of online services.  Springer is part of Springer Science Business Media, which owns 70 publishing companies in 20 countries throughout the world and employs 5,000 people.

     

    To meet the needs of our expanding publishing program in China, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates to fill the following position.

     

    Position: Account Manager, Corporate Sales, China

    Location: Beijing, China

    Reporting Line: Reports to Senior Accounts Manager, China

     

    Responsibilities:

       

    - To maintain and expand the existing customer basis and revenue via library consortia, book trade, direct sale in the corporate/industry sectors.

    - To maintain good account receivable records and follow-up for collection of payment.

    - To keep good business relationship with end customers and the trade channel.

    - To help plan and implement sales and marketing strategic plans and projects. Be prepared for both top-down and bottom-up approaches for planning, implementation and control.

    - To help building up local market intelligence and recommend relevant business reactions.

    - To arrange local conferences and exhibitions with the help of regional and global sales and marketing.

    - To keep up with all the products being offered by the company, and communicate the know-how and strategy to both end-users and distributors.

    - To submit regular sales and business activity report and travel/training plan to line manager.

    - To attend team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues.

    - To carry out any other job functions in Mainland China related to sales and marketing assigned.

     

    Requirements:

     

    - Bachelor degree or above, graduated from a 985 or 211 university.

    - More than 3-5 years sales working experiences with a tracked hit-target record, sales experience in Pharmacy/Medicine, Petroleum industries are a plus.

    - Strong spoken and written communication skills for both Chinese and English.

    - Excellent presentation skills.

    - Results driven, strategic thinker and able to attend to tactical details.

    - Highly motivated, flexible, team player.

    - Excellent knowledge to Microsoft office software and other necessary computer programs.

    - Present with professional appearance and deliver a positive company image to the customer.

    - Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients.
