Market Research Consultant/Project Manager - Native Taiwanese Speaker
(based in Beijing with travel to Taiwan)

As part of Strategic Analysis Asia's regional team, the post holder reports directly to Project Director - Taiwan with key responsibilities outlined below:

Project Delivery
-Carrying out field research including in-depth telephone and field interviewing of target organizations for industrial projects including market assessment and business intelligence projects
-Preparation of questionnaires and research methodologies
-Manage fieldwork team including sub-contractors or SAI internal staff to deliver regional projects with a focus on Taiwan projects
-Analyzing research findings
-Writing reports and ensure reports are client ready when it is for the final review by Project Director
-Assistance in presenting research findings to clients
-Controlling project allocated mandays

Regional Operations 
-Assistance in administrative tasks as required by the regional management team including subcontractor identification and management 

Business Development
-Assisting with business development activities including support for proposal preparation, cost estimation, liaison with research teams, potential client identification and post-project follow-up activities.

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

-3-5 years experience in industrial market research or business consulting experience
-Previous experience of conducting telephone and face-to-face interviews to collect market information is essential
-Fluent in Chinese and English, other Asian languages (Cantonese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, Bahasa, others) are a strong plus
-Self-motivated, proactive and creative individual able to work independently with minimum supervision in a home-based working environment
-Familiarity with primary research methodologies, tools and techniques
-Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
-Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently, frequently on tight timeframes and short turnaround times
-Computer literate and fully self-sufficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
-University (ideally technical and/or business) degree, and preferably an MBA, coupled with direct industry experience in sales, marketing and/or business research

The position is based in Beijing and will be required to travel to Taiwan to conduct filed interviews when required. We offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience and opportunities for professional and personal growth. Ongoing on-the-job training will be provided.   Initial job scope may be adjusted according to the successful candidate's experience/qualifications.
