PEARL LAM GALLERIES INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Founded in 1992 in Hong Kong as Contrasts Gallery, Pearl Lam Galleries established its

presence in Shanghai in 2005. The gallery changed its name to Pearl Lam Galleries in

May 2011, and includes Pearl Lam Fine Art, Pearl Lam Design and PL Art Consultancy.

Pearl Lam Galleries show established Chinese and international contemporary artists

and designers on a global platform. Pearl Lam Fine Art focuses on nurturing and

promoting a stable of cross-cultural and cross-discipline Chinese artists along with a

select handful of international artists, all of whose work is a recreation and extension

of traditions. Pearl Lam Design shows works by established and emerging

international designers at its new design gallery in Shanghai and design fairs around

the world.

Pearl Lam Galleries offers internships for students at junior-year college level or above,

recent graduates, graduate students, postgraduates, and mature professionals

pursuing further experience in the arts who are detailed-oriented, dedicated,

punctual, and professional. Mandarin and English language ability is essential. The

internship is unpaid. The Pearl Lam Galleries internship is an exciting opportunity to

gain practical and relevant experience in fast-paced galleries focused on Asia.

Interns work closely with gallery managers on various aspects of gallery operations,

project management of exhibitions, and sales.

DURATION AND DEADLINES:

Three and six month internships are available throughout the year.

3. A recommendation letter from academic organizations or art professionals.

4. A comprehensive CV indicating and relevant arts background, work experience,

education, and skills, etc. (in English ad Chinese)
