   广州市香港科大霍英东研究院是香港科技大学在广州南沙设立的一所研究院，致力成为一个珠三角地区突出的研究平台和教育基地。霍英东研究院将携手政府、企业、国内领先的大学及其他研究机构一起，为珠江三角洲地区的科技进步和经济发展作贡献。

三、职位要求 

Work Department/Centre: ARC

 

Description: Appointees will mainly work on chemical analysis on the pollutant samples collected at various stations over the Pearl River Delta. Besides, appointees would also assist pollutant sampling activities and data analysis and interpretation. Area of specialties is open but those candidates with specialties in chemistry, environmental engineering, and statistics are preferred. Appointees with higher academic degrees will be considered to be appointed as Research Associate. 
 
Responsibilities: 

1. Performing air sample characterization analysis by instruments, such as GC/MS, IC, EC/OC analyzer, etc.

2. Assisting sampling activities in the Pearl River Delta and Joint Lab operation at the South China University of Technology 
 
Requirements: 
1. Bachelor or above degree holder in preferable chemistry, chemical engineering or environmental engineering;

2. Experiences in operating GC/MS, IC or other analytical instruments are required;
3. The ability to raise research topics and or proposals is an advantage;

4. Good communication and presentation skills;
5. Good spoken and written English.
