Air Products was one of the first multinational gas corporations to enter the mainland China market and set up its first joint venture company in 1987 in Shekou. Since then, we have been expanding our business and investment in China to become a leading supplier in the market.

GEO/GO EDP (Engineering Development Program)
Location：
Zhangjiang High-Tech Park (Shanghai)
Operating sites and project sites in various parts of China
Caojing manufacturing facility (Shanghai Chemical Park)

Job Responsibilities：
The EDP (Engineering Development Program) is the training and development program for young graduates. Its purpose is to develop Air Products' future engineers, managers and leaders. It provides the opportunity to fresh graduates to learn the company's business, products, technologies and operating methods in their early careers.
The EDP engineer will fulfill 3 x 8 month assignments in different groups of GEO (Global Engineering Organization) and GO (Global Operations). The locations for these assignments can be Shanghai or other parts of China. Sometimes even in other parts of Asia, UK and US.
The EDP engineer with a future career in Manufacturing will fulfill 3 x 8 months assignments in Caojing manufacturing site (Shanghai) with the expectation to work at this manufacturing site once they graduate from the EDP scheme.
For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives and job description will be discussed, agreed and commented at the beginning between EDP and the assignment manager. The emphasis for each assignment will be on-the-job training.
Every EDP engineer is assigned a senior manager as a mentor to guide and advise them as they progress through the program.
The EDP engineer is encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from their colleagues.
At the end of the 24 months' EDP period, each EDP will seek a full time assignment in GEO Shanghai or GEO Xi'an or GO China or Asia region.
Qualifications：
Fresh graduate, with bachelor or master degree in engineering in one of various technical disciplines.
Intern experience in engineering program/project is preferred.
Excellent English skills, both written and oral; skillful in use of PC software tools.
Open, proactive and willing to learn.
Asia Technology CDP (Career Development Program)
Location：Zhangjiang High-Tech Park (Shanghai)
Job Responsibilities：
Conduct Applications Development, Technical Service, Product and Process R&D, Market Research, Engineering and other assignments as defined by the business or function.
Technology focus areas include Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical & Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Metallurgy, Thermal Power Engineering, Polymer, Surfactant & Interfacial Science, and Chemistry.
Three 12-month assignment rotations within three different businesses or functions. After completing rotations, CDPs will have the opportunity to be assigned to various roles in R&D, Customer Technical Applications, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, or Operations.
Qualifications：
Strong academic training, with PhD or Master's degree.
Major in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Power Engineering

IT CDP (Career Development Program)

Job Responsibilities：
The IT CDP will fulfill 3 x 8 month assignments in different groups of Global IT or other business of the company in Shanghai.
For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives and job description will be set up.
Every IT CDP is assigned a senior manager to guide and advise them as they progress through the program.
The IT CDP is encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from their colleagues.
At the end of the 24 months' CDP period, each CDP will seek a full time assignment in Asia IT Org in Shanghai, some jobs like SAP functional specialist, Business Analyst, Technical Specialist, and Project Manager.
Qualifications：
Fresh graduate, bachelor or master degree in IT, engineering, mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant major is required.
Ability to program with one or two program languages, about 1 year intern experience in IT application development is preferred.
Excellent English communication and networking skills.

Commercial CDP (MBA Career Development Program)
Location：Zhangjiang High-Tech Park (Shanghai)
Job Responsibilities：
The commercial CDP will fulfill three assignments, each lasts about 8 to 12 months in different functions or groups of Air Products China. The first assignment would be a role in marketing, business development or franchise management.
Assignments 2 and 3 would be in different divisions or roles that will give the CDP a broadening experience within the company. These assignments will be selected by the CDP in cooperation with their manager and the Air Products CDP Program coordinator.
For each assignment, the specific learning, project-related objectives and job description will be provided.
Every CDP is assigned a senior manager to guide and advise them as they progress through the program.
The CDP is encouraged to seek advice, coaching and support from their colleagues, supervisors and mentors.
After the three assignments finished, each commercial CDP will seek a permanent position in interested function team in the commercial area. In some cases this first position will be assigned by senior management, but in all cases the talents and the interest of the CDP will be considered when determining the best position.
Qualifications：
Full time MBA new graduates with outstanding inter-personal effectiveness and communication skills.
Demonstrated technical and financial skills either through the candidate's area of study or their previous work experience.
Ability to create/run excel spreadsheets, and power point slide presentations to communicate business projects supporting the growth of tonnage industrial gases for AP China.
Excellent English skills both in written and oral.
Open, proactive and keen to learning.
Finance CDP (MBA Career Development Program)
Location：Zhangjiang High-Tech Park (Shanghai)
Job Responsibilities：
Performs financial analyses of new investment opportunities and potential business combinations/acquisitions and supports the business team in development of commercial proposals.
Prepares financial analysis in support of capital expenditure authorization requests for management review and approval and coordinates input/review with tax and treasury and where necessary performs US repatriated earnings analysis.
Proposes Air Products' position on financial issues during negotiations throughout the project development phase.
Involved in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, business area reviews, capital forecasting, and strategic plans and often called upon to provide a coordinating role in these activities, as well as ongoing business reporting.
May perform analysis on other financial issues such as dividend policy, ownership structure, currency-related transactions and issues and tax matters.
Qualifications：
University degree in Business/Economics/Engineering, an MBA is asset.
Minimum 3 years progressive industry experience in financial analysis, experience in project analysis in a multinational is preferred.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to think strategically about business opportunities and investments. Must have strong commercial sense.
Excellent initiative, ability to work independently with limited supervision and flexibility to adapt quickly in a matrix organization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
