JOB TITLE: Intern, Securities Division Compliance
BUSINESS UNIT: Securities Division Compliance, Beijing Gao Hua

BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

The Securities Division Compliance department in Beijing provides coverage support to the Division's business units in China. Divisional Compliance also works closely with other firm departments, such as Business, Legal, Controllers, Risk, Technology, Operations and Internal Audit.

 

This is a position based in Beijing providing support mainly to securities business, however also deal with regulatory affairs on entity level (Gao Hua).

RESPONSIBILIITES

As an integral part of the business in China, this Compliance intern will be focusing on securities business and regulatory matters in the PRC.

 

·         Identify rules applicable to securities businesses from regulatory resources

·         Handle professional licensing stuff including professional exam/registration and continuous professional training

·         Coordinate regulatory reporting tasks among securities and other business lines   

·         Monitor business activities to ensure compliance with appropriate rules and firm policies

·         Assist Compliance officers in roll-out of Compliance trainings

·         Assist data management and analytics for ad-hoc projects across the securities product range.

 

SKILL / EXPERIENCE

MANDATORY

• General knowledge of China securities laws and regulations, securities products and service
• Strong analytical skills, attention to details and the ability to exercise balanced judgment
• Effective communication and coordination skills are required and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• The role requires a self-starter who can work under pressure
• Excellent written and oral English, Mandarin is essential

 

PREFERRED

• 3^rd or 4^th year undergraduate, 2^nd year master
• Can work full time, from 6 months to one year
• Prior Compliance/Legal experience within securities products/services
• Project management experience would be a plus
• PRC Securities Professional license.
