Position

Editor / Associate Editor responsible for publications in Physics and Astronomy

 

Location

Springer Asia Limited, Beijing Representative Office

Zhongguancun,Haidian District,Beijing

 

Reporting Line

Reports to Editorial Director, China

 

Responsibilities   

n  To build up author/editor/reviewer network among Chinese scientific community

n  To keep abreast of the latest development of responsible subject areas, focus on emerging or hot topics as well as interdisciplinary research.

n  To plan, acquire and manage Editorial Projects.

n  Editorial Projects include journals, books, proceedings and electronic products in Physics and Astronomy.

 

Requirements

n  Master degree, ideally PhD, in Physics preferably acquired in a foreign country.

n  Previous working experience in international STM publishing industry helpful.

n  Strong interest in scientific communications.

n  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

n  First class presentation skills, fluent written and spoken English.

n  Ready to travel within China.

n  Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and capable to handle multiple priorities.

n  Highly motivated with a sense of self-discipline and of entrepreneurial interests.

n  Proven mastery of Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
